Barcelona Star passing pattern:
-The pattern will start at the yellow cone and should be done in a star pattern with one and two touch recommended.
-Once the player has passed the ball they will sprint to the middle to touch the cone and then rotate to their right.
-You can progress by adding two balls. The second ball would start at the blue cone

Skill training
4 v 4 with 2 bouncers on the sidelines for each team.
Divide the pitch into four quarters. Before a team can score they must play a longer diagonal pass from one quarter to the bouncer on the opposite side line.
Coaching points
When you see the longer pass is on, don't hesitate drive it into the area where the bouncer is straight away.
Try and stop the ball dead before making the longer pass. It is difficult to chip a long ball that is running away from you.
Try and make it bounce once in front of your team mate.

The middle player has to move to get the ball. They must use their back foot and open up their body before passing the ball out to another player.
Get players moving and checking their shoulders before they get the ball.

20x20 Grid.
- Player A plays to player B, and then opens up to side cone like before.
- Player B drops the ball back to player A who then plays it long to player C.
- Lines C and D then do the same pattern with the final pass going from player C to player A.
-Players A and B swap lines, and C and D swap lines.
-Change direction every so often. (A plays with D, and B plays with C)
-Coaching Points-
1. One Touch when you can, two touch when you need.
2. Open up immediately after pass with hips facing inside.
3. Pace on every pass, ESPECIALLY the long ball.

20x20 Grid.
-Player A plays to player B.
-Player A then opens up around the cone to the direction of the pass, then joins the back of the line he played to.
-Player B has two touches to settle the ball, then play to Player C. The pattern continues all the way around.
-Change direction every 30 seconds or so.
-Coaching Points-
1. Ball should be played around the cone.
2. Pace on every pass.
3. Hips open before receiving pass.

-15-16 players

Players start at the 4 corners of the grid and have to dribble around the outside. When they reach the cone half way between the corners they must perform the Pull Push move. When the players reach their starting position, they must use their ball to knock the ball off the middle cone to win the game.
Progressions/Variations:
-Go in opposite direction
-Change the Stop/Start move-inside twist, outside twist
-shout out "Change direction" player then turns and get back to the starting position

-Close control when dribbling

-Accuracy on pass at ball on middle cone
