Rondo Overload Game 4 v 2 +3
Organisation:
Half Pitch with channel for wide players
4 - Whites v 2-Orange around a 10m x 10m box
1 main goal with keeper - on edge of box
4 x Blocks of 5 minutes
Explanation:
Whites are attempting to accumulate pts around a rondo area - but once possession is lost they must transition out of possession and look to defend the lines and defend the final third.
How:
Whites - Defending - Protect the space in behind, Fast pressure on the ball Protect the middle,Force play wide.
Oranges - Attacking - Width and Depth, Player movement to create the overload, Interchange positions, Find the spare player, Ball speed
Scoring:
Whites - 1pt for every 3 passes
Oranges - gain possession they then attack 5 v 4 towards the main goal
Oranges secure pass out of circle - 1pt, score gets another - score beyond the line 3pts
Defensive
Block 1 - Fast pressure on the ball
Block 2 - Protect the space in behind
Block 3 - Protect the Middle
Block 4 - Force play wide.
Attacking
Block 1 - secure possession - the importance/quality of the first pass + width and depth
Block 2- Player movement to create overloads
Block 3 - Interchange positions/Risk taking
Block 4 - Find the spare player - Quality of pass - Can we make a one touch finish for 5pts
Progression:
Whites on fewer touches.
Oranges on fewer touches.
After each goal in main goal swap Oranges in to out
Increase / decrease pts to challenge
No 1-2 on outside
Timed finish on Overload
All players touch to score
Different scorer each time

3 v 2 attack gameEach team has a turn attacking -
If team attacks and scores the beaten goalkeeper feeds the winning team a ball and they go and attack the opposite team
If they fail to score then the defending team attacks the opposite goal and so on
Play non stop for 10 minutes
