Organization:
20x20 yard area set up as shown
All players have a ball each
Instructions:
Players dribble around the area and on the coach’s call, perform a certain move.
The first player to complete the move gets a point and the first to 10 points wins
On coach’s call “toe touches”, the players stop the ball moving and perform 4 toe touches, before starting to dribble again
On coach’s call “scissors”, the players stop the ball moving and perform 2 scissor moves on each foot, before starting to dribble again
On coach’s call “step over”, the players stop the ball moving and perform 2 step-over moves on each foot, before dribbling again
Coaching Points:
Body shape – low centre of gravity
Change of speed and direction
Head up accelerate away
Progressions:
Any combination of the above moves can be used to complicate the movement
Players must “switch” balls before performing moves
Players can do all moves from a standing start

Organization:
30 x 30 yard area set up as shown
Players get into two teams, (4v4 to start)
Have several balls ready
Instructions:
Players are divided into 2 teams
Players are not allowed to pass the ball forward
They are allowed to pass sideways and backward. They can also shoot forward
We will rotate the teams every 2-3 minutes
Coaching Points:
Recognize 1 v 1 opportunities
When your team loses possession, try to get ‘touch tight’ to partner
Observe unopposed team mates and pass to them
Observe open space and dribble to score
Positive first touch where possible
If the route to goal is blocked, switch point of attack
Improvisation/Creativity
Progressions:
Open play
3 touch minimum; forces players to dribble
Introduce neutral players, who play with the attacking team
Opponents can only challenge after player has had two touches

Organization: Separate the group into 2 teams. 1 team on one sideline, the other team on the opposite sideline. 2 PUGGs 20x25. All balls in a pile by coach.
Instructions: Coach will assign the same set of numbers for both teams. Coach will roll out a ball, call out a number. Both players with that number come out. Either goal can be scored in for a point.
Coaching Points: Decision making on both sides:
A-Go to the open goal as quickly as possible using as less touches as possible?
D- See where the ball is, see where the attacker seems to be going to make a decision.
Progressions: Assign PUGG- Forces attacker to go one way, where hopefully 1v1 situations will come out more often.
