Passing Combinations - Strenghth & conditioning
Description: Same passing secuence in both grids, the exercise is designed to maximise workrate for the middle two while working on the quality of passes under pressure. 2 mins flat x 3 sets. Also an introduction to movement and good moving habits.
Players, key points:
1) Movement - Arc runs to bounce or play forward
2) Quality of pass - Weight, timing & accuracy
3) Communication - Make eachothers decisions

Possession - Movement with & without the ball
Description: 5 square possession game, 3 (red) defenderes try to wn the ball against the blue team who try to keep possession. The objective for the red team is to win the bal and play it into the red square. The objective for the blue team is to get the ball into every square to score. There will be movement conditions in the squares as the session progresses.
Players, key points:
1) Tempo - Move the ball quickly into space
2) Movement - Constantly checking and taking eachothers space
3) Quality of pass - Weight, timing & accuracy
4) Choice of pass - Wheres the pressure coming from?
5) Body shape- Look to open quickly

Possession - Good possession in the final third. Emphasis on hold up play
Description: A 4v4 with a GK in the goal. Blues look to score in the net while reds look to pass it through the red gates. Only players A and B can start off the game.
Players, key points:
1) Movement - Runs in behind, moves to feet
2) Quality of pass - Weight, timing & accuracy
3) Variation - Try something creative: When to pass, when to 1v1
4) Balk retention - When you win possession, look to go forward

Description: Fun excersice to build team morale and concentraion. Teams split into two with one cone up for grabs between a pair of opposition players, objective is to snatch the cone before your opponent. When the coach says "break" you must run to your touchline as fast as you can then get back into position

1) Concentration - Listen to every call
2) Work rate - on the "break" give it 110%
