Topic: Defensive transition - Prevent outlet pass after loss of possession
Key Points: 1) Immediate press after losing ball. 2) Can you keep in your half? 3) defensive team press together. 4) 1 touch passes before defense can recover
Progression 1: Blue starts with 6v4. 7 consecutive passes = 1 point. When orange wins, can they transfer the ball to their half (4v2). If successful, two blue and two orange transfer over to make a 6v4 on that half. Continue game. Team that loses possession tries to prevent transfer of the ball and keep it on their half (regain possession.) If they can prevent, continue trying to make 7 passes.

Key Points: 1) Immediate press after losing ball. 2) Can you keep in your half? 3) defensive team press together. 4) 1 touch passes before defense can recover
Progression 1: Blue starts with 6v4. 5 consecutive passes = they can attack the goal. When orange wins, can they transfer the ball to their half (4v2). If successful, two blue and two orange transfer over to make a 6v4 on that half. Continue game. Team that loses possession tries to prevent transfer of the ball and keep it on their half (regain possession.) If they can prevent, continue trying to make 5 passes on a half and score.
Progression 2: If the team sends pass across, they can score before all 4 defenders arrive. If they cannot score and all 4 defenders are in half, they must connect 5 passes before scoring.

Topic: Defensive transition - Prevent outlet pass after loss of possession
Key Points: 1) Immediate press after losing ball. 2) Can you keep in your half? 3) Sprint in recovery run 4) 3 defenders delay long enough for recovery
Progression 1: Blue starts with 6v4. 7 consecutive passes = May go to goal and score. If orange 4 win ball, they play across to teammates in 5v3. The 5 must attack quickly because blue can send 2 recovery defenders to even the match (5v5). Play until ball is dead. Any goal = 1 pt
Progression 2: Orange may send an additional attacker, and blue may send additional defender (only if orange attacker goes)

Topic: Pressure (Timing Destroy with Body In) and transition after losing ball
Key points: Moment of transition - If orange wins the ball, blue must immediately recover to prevent goal. If pugs are too easy, make both cone goals.
Progression 1: All Grids are the same game. Blue line passes to the next blue player waiting in front of goal. That blue player attacks to try to dribble past the red cone. The orange player comes into grid to defend (as the ball is played in; ball moves, we move). Orange must win ball positive and counter to goal. Blue should transition to defense immediately (next play; no disappointment)
Progression 2: Add a wall player (1 touch only) to grid for blue.
