Objective of session to allow for players to comfortable trying an array of fents/moves working on controlling the ball in various scenarios by incorporating the technical and physical attributes. The drills are designed to be fun, competitive and demanding from a speed of play perspective. Possession with Progression

Organization:
- 20x20 grid
- Objective of drill is quickly get through the mini course by keeping control of the ball and score first into the empy net.
- Divide players into 2 groups
- On coaches command the first two players dribble through the course
- Team with most goals wins.
Coaching Points:
- Ball must remain close to player
- Use of different parts of the foot and use of both feet
- Speed of Play = fast

Organization:
- Create a grid that is approximately 25 X 20 yards. You should adjust the size of the grid depending on the size, skill set, and number of players.
- Every player other than the defenders need a ball and will be dribbling around in the grid.
- The coach should release the defenders into the grid.
- The defenders job is to steal the ball from the dribbling players and look for another player.
- The dribblers must hold the soccer balls over their head and in order to be pack into the game a teamate that is dribbling must play ball between their legs to be un-frozen.
Progressions:
- Start with 2 defenders.
- Variation - Make the players do 20 tick-tocks or toe-taps before they are un-frozen.
Coaching Points:
- Instruct the defender to pressure players with the ball quickly.
- Dribblers must be aware of the defender (pressure) and remain calm and protect the ball or dribble away from pressure.
- Head is always scanning for space and freeing frozen players.

Organization:
- make a 10x10 or 12x12 yd grid, smaller if less players
- assign each player a number (1, 2, 3 ...)
- coach plays ball into #1, then #1 must find #2 and pass the ball to him, the #2 players to #3, etc ...
- after players makes pass, he must exist square and go around closest cone to them and then re-enter the square listen and looking for the player with the number before them
- once at end then last number plays back to #1 to start over
Progressions:
- 2 touch and then 1 touch IF POSSIBLE
Coaching Points:
- first touch is EVERYTHING
- players without ball are moving around and scanning the field for the player with the number before them (ie: 4 is looking to be side and angle on with #3)
- finding space to support (angles)
- on your toes - cannot be flat footed
- loud voice - each player must scream out their number to receive the ball

- divide the group into 2 equal teams of 5 + GK required
- make the teams rotate GKs every 4 mins.
Progressions:
- One touch finish are worth 2 goals
- finishing with non-dominant foot worth 2 goals
Coaching Points:
- speed of play = fast (where possible)
- decision making
- attacking mentality
- team defending (everyone is behind the ball when it's lost)
- game management when in possession (don't simply kick it away)
- urgency to score when behind
