Passing Pattern
Here we go through a Passing Pattern into a shot that uses both techniques. The ball starts in the centre and moves wide. The wide player should look to secure the ball effecitvely and use the Outside Parallel to play the ball back to the player who moves down the line. He should look to then beat the keeper. If the keeper closes the angle the striker can adapt as he sees fit but if the player can perform the scoop technique to lob the keeper then this will count as three goals. Person with the most goals at the end is declared the winner.

Passing Patterns Oppossed
Defender starts with the ball and passes to the attacker in the middle. He will then play to one of the wide players. The defender should try and close the ball down as quick as he can. The wide player is restricted to three touches for the purpose of the practice and the defender is allowed to tackle. The Attacker who makes the run into the space should do so with good intensity. The wide attacker should try to use the Outside Parallel if possible to find his teammate in good space and the attacker should then look to go and finish.

Small Sided Game
This is a simple small sided game to finish the session with. If a team can score by using the Scoop or the Outside Parallel during a passage of play it will count as three goals.

Part 1
Ball Mastery
Start off with players in pairs.
In Part 1: Players pass and control the ball to each other. This can then be progressed to include running with the ball and passing it. Particular emphasis should be placed on the scoop pass and how to execute it.
In Part 2: Players again work in pairs but at three stations. This time a player dribbles towards his teammate before executing a firm controlled pass. He will then make a curved run down the line for his teammate to find him with a pass. (Outside Parallel). This is a scooped pass but with the outside of the foot to a teammate therefore hopefully missing out a pressing defender. The receiver then plays a diagonal pass to his teammate.
