Passing Practice (15 mins)

Football Problem

When the team win the ball back we are to slow to play the ball forward to take advantage of an overload when transitioning from BPO > BP

Session Objective

In this session I aim to improve the ability of my players to recognise the right moment to play quick forward passes when transitioning from BPO > BP

Organisation

Two teams of 8 players

Players pass the ball unopposed to team mates and when a player enters the end zone their team mate on the ball must play a quick forward pass to the player in the end zone

Progression

When the player in the end zone receives the ball a 3rd man runner enters the end zone quickly to combine

Progression 1

When the player in the end zone receives the ball, the ball must be transferred quickly to a player in the opposite end zone and a 3rd man runner enters the 2nd end zone to combine
