Organization- Cones, balls, pinnies
Duration- 20 minutes
Instructions- Start with 2 teams, defenders and attackers. Defending player passes to red attacker who dribbles forward toward either gate. Far defender comes out to defend 1v1 while the other defender makes a recovery run after touching the net. If defenders win the ball they can attack 2v1 to goal.
Progression- 2v1
Add an attacker to force decision on who defenders cover, closest to the ball and recovery run.

Duration- 10 minutes
Instruction- Split into groups of 4
3 players space out 15-20M, passer is out 20M. Player A passes to center player who comes out to meet the ball, left and right players tuck in to support. Center player returns the pass and 3 defenders drop back to original shape. Passer continues to play ball in switching target each time.
Rotate after 2-3 minutes.

Duration- 20 minutes
Instruction- Spilt team into 2 groups, adjust based on numbers.
6 red attackers in outside zones, 4 blue defenders in middle zone.
One defender will pressure the ball, the other 3 stay central to support. Attackers are trying to play through the middle zone to there partners.
Attackers are allowed to make 4 passes in their own zone but encouraged to look first for a through ball.
Switch out defenders after 5 minutes.

Warm up (5 mins)
Organization- players do traditional warm up (have U10s start ahead of practice time)
Then have players play tag around 3 cones, run for 3 minutes, players switch when tagged or after 1 minute.
Progression- for the U10's add a ball to each player, they must dribble to try to tag their opponent. Run for 5 minutes.
