OBJECTIVE: Improve stop and starts with and without ball
DEVELOPMENT: In a 20x20 yd area we have gates. Two groups are lined up outside the area. 1.The first player from each group come out and go through 3 gates to then come back and tag their teammate.2.Dribbling race, first player DWB through 4 gates before passing ball to next teammate3. 1v1 TAG, 1v1 with ball, 2v2 with ball
COACHING POINTS: Increase the pressure by adding more number of gates a player must go through
PLAYERS TIP: Use change of direction & try to use different gates

OBJECTIVE: To use change of direction moves
DEVELOPMENT: Two teams facing each other across two small goals facing opposite sides. The first player in team blue will play the ball forward to player in team pink. When the pass is done, that triggers a 1v1 to score in any of the two goals
VARIATION: To score you must enter the box.
COACHING TIPS: Pass & close the attacker's open goal
PLAYERS TIP: Try to disguise your move towards any of the goals & quickly change direction

OBJECTIVE: improve Passing & support play
DEVELOPMENT: Two teams, pink is the taggers. They will send one player to tag any of the blues & come back to release their next tagger. Coach will track the amount of time it takes both teams to tag all the players
VARIATION: One team starts with a ball, the other team sends one player to try and win possession of the ball. When this happens, the team who lost the ball sends one player to try and win the ball on the other side
COACHING POINTS: Tag, change directions as much to tag any player

OBJECTIVE: Finding attacking & supporting options
DEVELOPMENT: Two teams will play in a 20x20 yd area with two goals facing opposite ways to one another.
They can score in any goal.
VARIATION: A gate is set in front of each goal, this time they can only score if a pass is made through one of the gates onto their teammate.
COACHING POINTS: Become a passing option for the player with the ball
PLAYERS TIP: Communicate where you are, by your runs towards the gate or into space

OBJECTIVE: Improve ball touch, technique & flexibility
DEVELOPMENT: Two groups in adjacent sides of 10x10 yd box.One group starts by going from one side to the other, once that happens the other groups begins.The coach assigns ball mastery moves or controlling techniques to go across the grid.
COACHING POINTS: Look for good technique before speed- Keep your eyes as much as you can- gradually speed up
