Recovery
Aim
We want to try and get the GK's into the habit of recovering for another quick shot on goal.
The job is not finished until the ball is secured or out.
Equipment
Balls (Size 5)
Poles/ Large cones
Marker spots

Quick Draw 15 mins
Aim
To have the GK moving into position using quick feet.
Making a save and then rising to his feet quickly to make another save
Instructions
The GK will start behind the near post
On command, he will move around the post and save the shot aimed toward the near post.
The GK will quickly recover and move over his goal to stop the 2nd shot on the other side of the goal
Both sides to be worked
Progression
c1 will take a 2nd shot

* Early eyes on the working ball
* Quick to get back to his feet to move to the next position
* Securing the ball with both hands

Quick Draw (2) 15 mins
Aim
To have the GK moving into position using quick feet.
Making a save and then rising to his feet quickly and making a large movement prior to making another save
Instructions
The GK will start behind the near post
On command, he will move around the post and save the shot aimed toward the near post.
The GK will quickly recover and move around the back of the far post before moving over his goal to stop the 2nd shot.
Both sides to be worked
Progression
c1 will take a 2nd shot

Tired legs 15 mins
Aim
To have the GK moving into position using quick feet after doing a number of plyometric exercises.
Making a save from close in and then rising to his feet quickly and making another save from the other side of the goal
Instructions
The GK will start behind the line of cones
On command, he will move through the cones and then over the 3 hurdles, he will then move quickly into the goal for the 1st shot
The GK will quickly recover and move across the goal for the 2nd shot from further back

Aim
To get the heart pumping and help the Gk's get into the habit of movement, stop, set, shot
Instructions
The GK's will start at the red marker and move to stop to the side of the marker pole. He will then dive in front of the pole in order to stop the shot. The dive has to be forward.
MOVEMENT, STOP, SET, SHOT
The GK will then get to his feet and move forward, stop at the next pole and perform a forward dive again (x4)

* Reaching out and pointing for the ball, aiming to secure 1st time.
* Recovering quickly and moving on
