Possession 4/5v1
SET UP
5/6 boxes set up 10x10
5 players per box - 1 ball (and spares with coach)
Number the players 1 - 5
Instructions
Players pass the ball inside their square and keep possession
1 Coach calls a number 1-5
That player then goes into the box next to them and tries to win the ball
The Players in the box will try to keep the ball off the defender from the other box
Once the ball is won they then go back to their square and help their own team
Coaching Points
Keep the square big by using up all the space
Know who they are passing to before they receive the ball
2 touch is preferred

Instructions
Coach numbers the players in each team
Coach a number (1v1) and plays the ball onto the pitch
Player with the correct number runs onto the pitch and tries to take it past the defender to score a goal.
Once a goal is scored the play is reset
NOTE: Play continues if there is no goal scored until the coach calls it
Progression
Coach shouts numbers (depending on 2v2 - 3v3 etc) and plays the ball onto the pitch

Instructions
Players begin passing to one another utilizing the mandatory "twotouches" to keep the ball moving and guiding it to where they want to
pass next.
On the coach's signal, the 3 players who have a ball, pick it up
and try to catch a teammate. (When a player is caught, they change roles and continue until the coach's second signal).
At that point, balls go back to the ground and the players continue passing "two
touches"
Coaching Points
Players communicate by shouting for the pass
Players tell their teammates where they want the pass
3 touch if 2 touch is too demanding
Encourage 1st touch - "touch direction" for their 2nd touch
