Session Explanation
The aim of the session is for players to score as many points as possible by penetrating through any of the four visible gates and posting the highest score possible while coping with a variety of different conditions. To start players will operate without a ball and to score a point must penetrate through any of the gates before returning back through a different gate and into the centre square. This will then progress to dribbling with the ball after the players are warmed up and comfortable with the session layout. The player who tallies up the most points before the game stops selects a group forfeit for the others.
Conditions / Challenges
- Weaker foot only.
- Specific surface of the foot e.g. instep, toes / laces, outside. (Let the players choose)
- Players must incorporate skill or turn before going through a gate. (Step over, ball roll, flip flap, Cruyff turn)
