Session Objective:
In this session we aim to improve the teams ability to re-organise into our BPO start positions before we regain possession, and press as a unit.

Set Up:
In an area 20m x 20m in a grid with 7/8 players per grid.
Instructions:
Four attackers and 3 defenders in the gird at any one time.
Attackers must move the ball around the outside of the grid while the defenders apply passive pressure.
When the defender presses the ball they take their place on the outside and the attacker goes on the inside.

Set Up:
In two areas 20m x 20m with a middle line and 2 passing gates
Instructions:
Pink will attempt to keep the ball as long as possible. B&W must recover the ball as quickly as possible. Defenders must man mark their opponent, only two defenders are allowed in the attackers half before, the third defender must be on the half way line blocking the gates. Once the defenders B&W win the ball 3 times teams will switch with a new 3 players from the pink team.
Key Coaching Points:
1. As soon as you can block the passing line (gates) to prevent the ball getting played to the other side.
2. If your teammates are not in their defensive starting positions do not press or engage the opponent.
3. If you are the player in the second line of press let the front player you are ready to press, must me quick.
4. As often as possible look over your shoulder to see where the opponents are on the far side.
5. As soon as the middle player receives the ball show him towards the outside and apply aggressive pressure
6. Whenever you see your team mate break the line to press see if you have to provide cover and block the gates or arrive on
another attackers touch.
Player Coaching Points:
1. Can you be in a position to prevent the forward pass.
2. Can you delay the opponent to allow your team mates to reorganise.
3. Can you communicate/coach the player in front to let him know when to press and break the line and when to hold the line
4. Can you have a look over your shoulder to see where the player behind the press is.
5. Can you show the attacker towards the outsides before engaging.
6. Can you provide cover for your teammate once they engage the attacker.

Set Up:
In an area 40m x 50m with a large goal at one end and two small gates on the halfway line.
7v7+1 (coach or GK)
Instructions:
Pink Team:
Pink team will be the team defending in their own half and attempt to win the ball and play through the gates. As soon as the team regains possession they have 6 passes to score through the gates or by running it over the half way line in controlled possession.
B&W Team
B&W team will be the team in possession of the ball and try and score in the big goal. The team will get a point for every shot on target.
Key Coaching Points:
1. As the ball is travelling can you always be in a position to see the ball and your man
2. #9 - As the ball is played from one centre back to the other can you prevent the ball being played back and press the ball carrier.
3. #10 - As the #6 receives the ball can you position yourself close enough to arrive on his touch.
4. #6 & #8 - If you see the opponents #6 or #8 facing forward can one of you cut the passing line to the #9 while the other is in a position to arrive on the ball carriers touch.
5. #2 & #5 - If the #7 or #11 makes a run can you follow and be in a position to prevent them from going forward.
6. #3 & #4 - When the #9 drops deep can you one follow and the other stay to provide cover.
Player Coaching Points:
1. Can you get in a position to see the ball and see your man
2. #9 - Can you prevent the ball from being played between the #3 & #4.
3. #10 - Can you get in a position to press the #6 and prevent him from playing forward.
4. #6 & #8 - Position yourself to prevent the ball getting to the #9 and arrive on the #10's touch, while the other presses the ball carrier.5. #2 & #5 - Can you position yourself to prevent the #7 & #11 receiving in behind.
