7:55 - 8:15pm Positioning Play - High Press Goal Kick (then general play)
Front 6 (yellow) vs Opponent back 7 (orange)
Targets : Orange = mini goals
Yellow = main goal
Orange : simulating SD Raiders goal kicks
Start : GK to 6, then to 3 or 4
Later : Mix it up, 3,4, or 6 to start. If played to 3 or 4, cannot go long
Points :
1. 'Press' : High Press on goal kick (4 at front)
Press front 4, give 6 a little room to entice ball from GK to 6, then tighten and force back to 3.
Our 10 needs to be ready for ball back to 3 (if played to 3 try & win it, also 9 needs to go to GK to prevent escape).
Our 9 needs to be ready for ball back to 4 (if played to 4 try & win it, also 10 needs to go to GK to prevent escape).
2. 'Press' General Play
4 does not move up into mid like on a goal kick.
7/11 tuck in depending what side it is on.

8:15 - 8:35pm High Press SD Raiders Goal Kick (11v11 3/4 pitch)
1. Play starts from orange GK (when ball out of play, game resumes with orange goal kick).
2. Initially - play GK-6-3/4.
3. Progression - play GK to 3/4/6 (or GK-2/5).
4. Free choice - GK to any short option.
5. Any thing - short or long (pressing defence to adjust).
Coaching Points :
Part of exercise goal kicks, part of exercise general play.
Goal Kicks
1. Press on the 6 - enough room to entice GK-6, but close enough to arrive when ball arrives. Cannot let 6 turn.
2. Look for ball watching of 9 & 10 when played to 6 - they need to immediately cut off 3 & 4.
3. Check positions of other pressing players (front 7/11, press on their 6 by our 8, our 4 moving into mid so 1:1 everywhere).
General Play
1. Look at positions in general play
(4 back in back line, outnumbered in mid, 7/11 tucking in to provide support).
