Warm-Up Mental Awareness (15 mins)

THE SESSION: Warm-Up - Mental Awareness - Coach gives a series of commands that each team follows. When the Coach calls out a team color that team must turn and get to the sideline without being tagged.

Wild Wild West Quick Draw (15 mins)

THE SESSION:

on coaches command: each pair will try to gain posession of ball, turn and get the ball to their side of the wall for a point. if other player can steal it back before it touches the other players wall, and get it to their wall, they get the point.

Sick Bay Soccer (15 mins)

THE SESSION:

Sick Bay Soccer

The coach runs into the area attempting to tag one of the players.When a player is tagged for the first time, he must hold onto where he was tagged and continue running from the coach (if the coach tags him on the knee, the player keeps his own hand on his knee). If tagged if he gets tagged a second time then with his other hand he needs to hold where he has been tagged. If tagged for a 3rd time, they are to report to sick bay in the corner of the area. Once in the sick bay players need to do 10 toe taps before returning back to the game free from being tagged.

KEY MESSAGES/POINTS:

Dribbling with their head up to avoid being tagged. Changing direction with the ball using close ball control.

Reindeer Games (10 mins)

THE SESSION:

- 4 groups, 4 Home Bases with 3 cones with balls on top. These 3 cones with balls are the teams lifes. All remaining balls go to the center of the field

- 3-5mins per round,

- All Players start at thier "home base". On coaches command everyone is free to get the balls in the center and start trying to knock down the other teams balls on cone.

- Teams can't defend inside thier "home base".

- Teams can't enter opposing "home bases" and must try to knock the balls off the cones from outside the 'home base" area marked with cones.
