Organization:
1) 9v9 (Defensive and Middle area)
2) Must be off the game. Do not lock on and pick up. Allow them to play out.
Instructions:
Trying to double up if teams play out. Force them into a central area. Come right off, allow them to play then press with a purpose.
If on our left side:
1) 9 and 2 double up on CB. 9 Stops switch to opposite CB, 2 stops ball to wide player and forces them inside.
2) 4 has to get to wide player as quickly as he can incase they play through.
3) 6 tucks in and offers depth that 4 isn't providing.
4) 10 matches runner centrally in the hope that they do play him. We are shaped up to get them to play inside.
5) 5 and 3 tuck in slightly
6) 8 just stays centrally to cover anyone who doesn't do role/duties.
Same idea on opposite side. Roles change. Right side now pressing
Coaching Points:
1) Real willingness to work
2) Recognize when we can press high up.
3) Roles and responsibilities down to a tee. Everyone needs to be switched on in order to work.
Progressions/Regressions:
1) 8 deals with wide player instead of 4/5 making that run. Something to look at as shorter distance but 4/5/6's roles change so will wait til after weekend.
