Area: Use same pitch as prvious practice. Put 4 scoring squares in each coener approx 2mx2m.6v6 depending on numbers.
Equipment:
cones, discs, poles, bibs & balls
Instructions: Keep possession as a team, a point is scored by passing to a team mate in one of the squares in the corner. That team can still keep possesion and try to score in another square. The same team can not score in the same square and must go elsewhere. They can then return afterwards.
Coaching Points: Don't play into congested areas, play quickly, support for the player on the ball, switch play to areas where there is space.

Shooting under pressure from edge of area.
Player 1 does a 1-2 pass with player 2. HPlayer 2 Then has a big touch and heads towards goal. Player 2 is allowed then to close down player 1. Player 1 has to get his shot away before the line. Once the ball is dead or taken players 1 and 2 swap positions and the excercies then repeats between players 3 & 2 and so on. All players rotate after every go to all be involved and shoot form different positions. More players would cue behind players1,2,3 or could have 3 attackers and 3 defenders rotating stikes at goal.
Key Points
Attacker should have a good first touch infront of them. They should get an early shot away or create 1/2 a yard and shoot. If they double back or hold on to the ball for more than 6 seconds then the phase of play has ended. Defenders close down qickly after 1-2 but stand up not to over comit. Show good bodyshape to send attacker on weaker foot.

Area:
use centre circle or use cones/discs to create circle.
Equipmment:
Balls (1 per outside player) cones/discs if needed.
Objective:
working as a pair in the middle, one player leads and the other follows. From position 1 the leader (blue) runs and calls for a ball from a feeder on the outside. When he recieves he must control and stop the ball (position 2) He then turns out and moves to another feeder for a ball and repeats (position 3). The role of the follower is to shadow bout not tackle the reciever. Once the reciever has stopped the ball dead the follower passes the ball to a feeder on the outside (position 2) then turns to follow the leader again (position 3). The leader is trying to loose the follower by working as fast as possible, changing direction and setting the pace. work for 1- 1.5mins depending on fitness then swap the pairs. Once all pairs have had a turn the leaders and followers in each pair swap roles and the practice is repeated.
Key Points:
Emphasise changing direction and not going round in a circle as changing direction multiple times makes it more difficult for the follower. This is very tiring if performed correctly. Encourage the pairs to work as hard as possible to improve fitness.
Progression:
Increase the duration of time each pair works for.

3v3+2 Switching the Play warm up (20 mins)
Set Up: 20*20 grid. Extra balls behind the area.
Players: 10 players. 3v3 in the grid with a target player on both sides of the team's axis.
Description: Red play East vs. West. Blue north vs. south. Objective is to play from one target player to the other target player. Do this for the warm up moving from one side to the other without involving the other team. this will improve scannng as they will all be fluid in the same space working cross flow to each other. Once you pass to a player on the outside you carry out a 1-2 pass and swap the players over. Then only use 1 ball and make it competative. If the opposing team wins the ball, they then look to play between their own target players. Restarts begin with a target player for the team that did not touch it last.
Questions: What are we thinking about if we are the second attacker? Can we identify our options before we receive the ball? How does our body orientation help?
