This practice is intend to encourage quick ball movement and communication. The coach is also observing off ball movement.

The athletes play 1 v 1 then rotate according to who wins and loses. The winners go to the right and the losers go to the left, except the last field, the winner stays and the first field, loser stays. The queen of the court doesn't run sprints. Ties 'rock paper scissors' to see who moves on. Rotate after 90 secs. Have one set up for every 2 players.

Athletes play 2 v 2 in the box with a ball served by the coach. Both teams are trying to score on the goal. They play until someone scores, therefore, the coach may play multiple balls in. The losers go to the other side of the goal, winners get back in line.

In the second round, the losers play all the winners for one more round. The losers from this game, remain on the other side until all players have had a turn. Then, the losers perform 2 sprints to midfield and back. Play two more rounds.
Coaching tip: This is teaching the players that although they lost the first game, it does't mean that they have lost. Keep fighting!

Split the team into two teams. On command, the Coach serves in a ball and 3 players from each team play 3 v 3 in the box for 2 minutes. Keep a running score for each team. Winners do less sprints.
Both teams are trying to score on the goal. Play several games, rotating players in.
Variations: limit touches to 2 or 1 to encourage off the ball movement.

Two teams of six play goal to goal. Coach emphasizes off ball movement and communication. 2 touch only. If players do more tha a two touch, they have to run to the sideline and perform 10 push ups.

Players perform agility moves through the ladder and hurdles, receive a ball from the coach, dribble through the poles, and take a pass/shoot in one of the goals. Players then retrieve the ball and take back to the coach. Two set ups for multiple turns.
