Play will always start from RED GK and play into either CB. CB position themselves in shaded area either side of GK.
Block 1 (first 5 minutes) both RED CBs are fixed into these area (in and out of possession)
WHAT IF
Problem - BLUE front 3 defend narrow (using 18 box as a guide).
Solution - RED full backs are COACHED to play high and wide looking to receive the ball on the half turn and look to play progressive passes forward into midfield.
GK - Quick ball speed into CB, decision making of GK dependant on BLUE 9 position (left or right CB)
RCB and LCB- movement within shaded area, body position, back foot, see 3 corners of the pitch
RB and LB - high and wide position passed orange markers beyond BLUE Wide forward. Back foot,
CDM - position centrally between both full backs, not on same passing line, scanning behind
CAM + YELLOW magic man - space wide of centre circle, making pitch big in possession.

As block 1 but only change for RED team is that 1 RED CB can move out of their zone BLUE striker gets on the ball. RED CB move back to into shaded area when RED team back in possession.
WHAT IF
Problem - 2 BLUE wide forwards tightly mark each of RED full backs giving no option to play around
Solution - 2 CAM stay high and wide creating more space for CDM in the middle of the pitch
CDM coached to scan behind, not drop too deep, looking to play progressive passes forward

Tempo change Speak to players on a terminal break about the tempo/intensity they play with. explain that if they look to play at a continuous tempo it becomes easy to read by the opposition so it is important to increase and decrease the tempo from time to time to keep the opposition guessing. Happy for ball to be played backwards and be patient. Look to draw (tease) opposition out of position and play quicker to get higher up the pitch.
Block 3 Principle of play - Play over (4mins)
Offside is introduced and blues are managed to maintain a high line.
Reds are encouraged to play balls over the blue line when appropriate. 1 goal is awarded for each completed pass over the blue line.
WHAT IF
Problem - BLUE team high press leaving space in behind
Solution - RED team play OVER the defence and put the CF through on goal
Block 4 Free play -Reinforcing principles of play (6mins)
Red team are encouraged to make good decisions as to when to play around, through or over. A goal is awarded each time the line is broken by playing around, through or over.
WHAT IF
Problem - BLUE Striker / Midfield drop off leaving space in front for RED CB/CDM
Solution - RED player from deep run with the ball forward and drive THROUGH the line yourself
