Start with 1 player, one ball - All players in shaded area
Progressions:
- Half with balls, half without balls, pass, after pass must sprint around pugg goal
- Reduce balls (approx. 1 ball per 3 players) after passing, must move around a player from a different group before receiving again
- Must move around a pugg goal before receiving again
Coaching points:
- Intentional with passes, which foot, correct technique (instep, outside, driven with laces for longer passes)
- Correct weight on the passes
- Body shape open when receiving when possible, side on
- Communication on what's next

Set up as shown Teams of half group each. GK in each goal (if possible, otherwise use counter goals for attacking side). Balls with defending goal.
Play for 4', switch sides so players do both roles

Coaching points:
- Movement to space, bend run, be able to see ball and space
- Cue/trigger for overlapping run - 1st attacker dribbling inside/toward your space
- Timing of run to stay onside/take defender out of the play
- Overlap - behind 1st attacker, underlap - in front of 1st attacker
- 1st attacker: scan, decide (pass or dribble), action
- 2v2s which defender to dribble at to create space for an overlap? create a 2v1 or 1v1 situation within the 2v2

Goal for the session is to get players to interchange their positions to create 2v1 situations when attacking.
Scan, Decide, Action
20 minutes
Ball starts with coach playing into GK of attacking team. Teams then play 3v3 until goal or ball goes into touch. Mix groups/teams with both red and navy players. Winning team stays on unless they score 3x in a row.
Coaching points:
- 1st attacker: Scan before first touch to know movements of teammates
- 2nd and 3rd attacker: Movement of 1st attacker, 2nd/3rd attacker. Find the space!
- Movement/dribble direction of player with the ball to open space for runs off ball (change lanes!)
- Runs trigger runs (one player leaves a space, another player takes the space.
Progressions:
- 4v4s (add additional line further up the field for each team)
- Tournament play, two fields (10-15 minutes)
