Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): Inside short passes

INTRO (10 mins)

Organization:

• one partner one ball standing across from your partner 

Instructions:

• Partner without the ball stands with their legs shoulder length apart, partner with the ball first stands 5 feet away and using the inside of their foot strike the ball to get it in between your partners legs, if you miss you stay at the current spot, if you make it you go to the next line where you have 2 attempts to make it and if you do you move back again, if you miss the second chance you move back to the previous spot. once you make all 4 spots (moving up the ladder) then you go back down the ladder repeating the same process, when done sit down first second and third place  

Coaching Points/Questions:

• point your not passing foot in the director you want the ball to go, not much power needed placement and accuracy 

Progressions:

• first group to finish wins as in both partners must go up and down the ladder 

Regressions:

• only going up the ladder then switch partner 

CONDITION GAME (10 mins)

Organization:

• Two equal teams two scoring endzones on each end 

Instructions:

• Normal scrimmage but instead of goals you score by passing the ball to your teammate in the endzone like American football, you can dribble in the endzone but it does not count as a point, only if you pass and they control it

• Can we move to get open can we pass quickly with fewer touches
