What: Triangle Goal Game. The game is played in 360 degrees with a triangle goal in the center of the space. The triangle goal gives the two teams three goals to score on, and the GK three goals to defend. Two GKs can be used as well. Play is continious, which ever team wins the ball may go to goal.

The three goals that make up the triangle should be regulation width for the age group.

This is a Stage 2 activity.

Why: active and frequent opportunities to strike on goal using a variety of surfaces. Frequent shot stopping opportunities for the GK.

Where: this avtivity is played in 360 degrees.

Who: #s 8, 10, 7 , 11 , and 9 vs #s 1 , 2 , 3, 4, 5, and 6.

Where: Attacking and Transition phase.

Periodization:

Players - Work Interval - Recovery - Reps

5 to 7 - --3 to 6 min ----- 2 to 3 min - 1 to 6

8 to 11 - 7 to 15 min -     2 to 3 min - 1 to 4

General "Rule of Thumb," is when the speed of play in an activity drops, it is time for recovery.

The fewest number of players determines the duration of an activity.
