Organization:
3 teams
4-attackers on field
3 defenders
4 v 3 to goals.
rotate any spare players when new ball is played.
Instructions:
Attackers play the ball in and try to score on pug nets on other end. Defenders try to press and win the ball and score on the goal.
If the ball goes out then play is restarted and 3 new defenders come on
Coaching Points/Questions:
Attackers- Do we have to play fowards if it is not on? We have out GK as a free pass.
Try to play quickly to open up space with movement, try not to be in same line.
Defenders- Look to put pressure on attacker when they are closest to you. What happens if pressure it too slow.
If they are facing the opposite way do not let them turn, do not be too tight so that they will lose you. 2nd defender can push up to help, or cover their player
If you are not pressing the ball (2nd defender) where do you need to be? What happens if we are too high up the field, or too far back?
What to do if the ball is played back to GK?
Do we mark a player or the space?
Regressions/Progressions:
R) If all 4 attackers touch the ball before scoring then they get an extra point.
