ORGANIZATION: Mark a playing circle appropriate to the size of the group. 10-15 yards across.

Every player has a ball and goes inside the circle except for 1 player – the Shark – who doesn’t have a ball and stays outside the circle.

INSTRUCTIONS: Players dribble around inside the circle and the Shark jogs around the perimeter.

On your signal - "Shark Attack", the Shark must enter the circle and kick one players ball out the circle.

Any player who loses their ball leaves the circle and join the Sharks for the next attack. The game then starts again with the sharks jogging around the perimeter until they hear the coach say "Shark Attack". Each Shark can only kick out one player's soccer ball.

The last player left dribbling is the winner and they become the Shark at the start of the next game.

PROGRESSIONS:

  • Can the players with a ball shield their ball so that the sharks cannot get it
  •  Instead of the shark only kicking out one soccer ball, give them 10 seconds to kick out as many balls as they can.
