Explanation:
Aim of practice focuses on the defending team protecting a 1-0 load with 10 minutes to go!! Limiting the attacking team in creating goal scoring opportunities.
Supply of balls with server (assistant coach) to create better ball rolling time. As soon as the ball is dead the he will feed randomly to anyone to change the attack. Multiball in use.
Practice starts by server playing the ball to a red player, changing who he gives it to depending on the blues applied pressure.
The reds will look to create problems for the blues with movement and quick passing also keeping very wide to stretch the pitch. they will also be set challenges at different times through the session.
The blues will look to communicate continually with each other including the GK to keep the unit shape narrow and compact leaving the furthest player away from the ball, keeping good distances between the defenders and midfielders (6-8yrds). Blues objective is to stop crosses, if they fail to do so it is massive they then win the second ball, also blues must look to close down quickly around the box to stop any crosses or breaking lines passes.
As soon as the ball is dead the blue team must look to get up the field 30yrds as a starting point, for the reds next attack, mustn't start deap.
Goalkeeper.
The goalkeeper will have to be switched on and busy in this session, keeping a good gap between himself and the defence moving up and down as the defence does, commanding his box and communacating
Challenges,Conditions and Targets:
Blue team - 2 points by scoring
Blue team - 1 point if red team are unable to shoot through phase of play
Blue team - must score within 8 seconds if able to gain possession. Unless a different challenge has been implemented
If the blue team score as a reward they get to start the next phase of play from there goalkeeper.
Red team scores 1 point for each goal they score by going around the blue team
Red team scores 2 points for scoring a goal where they play through the blue team
As a challenge if the blues win the ball how long can they keep possession.
