Organization:
Divide area into three fields for 2v2s
Instructions:
- 2v2 games, attempting to score by knocking a ball off the cone
- when in possession, players can roam anywhere
- when out of possession, players must have only 1 player in half.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- How can you get the defender to bite/budge and open up an option a little more?
- How can you sneak the ball to the least expected option?
- Besides different surfaces of the feet, what are some ways to get a defender wrong footed?
- When are the best moments to disguise passes?
Regressions/Progressions:
- Rather than 1 defender in each half, just have the player furthest from the ball take a knee until their teammate recovers the ball
- add a mini goal between the two soccer balls to increase options for attackers, incentivize with more points
- remove the restriction and just play 2v2, but you must score from the attacking half

Organization
30 x 20 grid setup into 4 boxes
Instructions
You are only allowed to defend with one player in a square
You can move freely when you have the ball, but you can only have 2 attacking players in 1 square at a time
Progression
May allow a second defender to come into box

Introduction (10 mins)
Organization:
-5 yard gates scattered throughout area (Gates may be adjusted in size based upon ability level of group)
-Players get into pairs, and 1 ball per pair
-2 defenders
Instructions:
Pairs look to move around the area by passing to a teammate to dribble through a gate
If a groups ball knocks into another player, or leaves the area; they lose all their points and must start at zero
If defenders are able to win ball, and score in counter goal. Attacking team loses all points and must restart; defender gets 3 points
Each round is for a set period of time
Coaching Points/Questions:
-Identifcation of space to play into their teammate
-Dribble ensuring the ball is on side as their partner
-Surface of foot to play the pass
-Angle and weight of the pass
