Essence:
- To work on defenders applying pressure and holding the attackers until back up arrives.
Structure:
- A passes to B > C,D- Once B passes the ball A can move around the cone to tackle back and create a 2v2.
Technical Points:
- To step out and apply pressure, whilst holding them/channeling them to the right hand side.
- Keep ball body to goal line.
- Keep the perfect defending distance and apply pressure and patience.
Attackers:
- If you can go on the right hand side; forehand is the easiest (let them figure it out)
- Move the defender(s) > pass and then move again.

Exercise 1
Essence:
- To work on players basics, ball control and vision.
Structure:
- Set up a zone of 20 by 20 yards.- Players on the inside start with the ball. They move to find a pass to the free. players on the outside. They pass to the player on the outside and they move inside.
Technical point:
- Make sure we pre scan and when we receive we have our heads up.
- Secure the ball then look to pass.
- Players on the outside communicate to let the players on the ball know if you are free.
Step 2
- Pass 3 times to the same person on the outside before that person on the cone can move to find a pass.
- Important for the players on the cone to pre scan and already make a decision on who to pass to.
Step 3
- Same as previous step except we do 3 lifts before we give a lifted pass instead of 3 passes.
- As you receive the ball take it in the direction you want to go.
