Principles of Defending.
Attacker starts on each of the cones in turn and attacks the backline.
defender tries to defend the backline using the principles of;

PATIENCE DISPOSESS
different methods of defence depending on the area of the pitch.

Changing numbers game.
Coach shouts 2 numbers. 1st is players from green, second is players from red. they then play a game with those numbers. 1 green player picks up a ball from behind the goal.

Two teams play inside the 23.
any breakdown in play leads to a new ball and coach chooses which team is attacking.
defending team tries to carry through cones 2 points
attacking team tries to score/win corner 2/1 point
emphasis on reaction to change of position. defensive principles depending on area of pitch.
suspensions for fouls. run around a cone and back in play. bad fouls run twice.

Transfering and making connections
the attacking team has 4 players who can transfer the ball. Only one of these is allowed into the 23 WHILE ATTACKING TEAM IN POSESSION.
there are 3 attackers starting in the D. the attackers cant exit the 23.
There are 4 defenders.
Attacking team are looking to make connections between the defenders and the forwards, either by bounce pass or by incisive ball.
Forwards are trying to score or win a corner
Defenders are trying to carry over the 23
Receiver needs to recognise what pressure they are under when receiving the ball.
