Diamond Warmup - Passing
Organization:
Set up a diamond with flat cones 10-15 yards apart. Players pass the ball in a designated pattern set by the coach.
Progression:
1. Pass one way (left/right)
2. Add a second ball
3. Pass and follow
4. Pass left - then across (continue pattern)
5. Pass right - the across (continue pattern)
6. Check to and check away - then pass (work on timing)
Focus:
Check away from defender
Recieve on back foot
Work on timing when receiving the pass

Catch the Robber
Organization:
Create a 5 x 5 yard box. Each player has a ball. Each player is trying to dribble the soccer ball and catch the opposing player. Players must stay outside of the box.
Progressions:
1. Each player has a ball and tries to catch the opposing player (Go both directions)
2. One player has a ball and one player chases in the same direction
3. One player has a ball and the other player can change direction to catch the opponent

"Get Out"
Organization:
Create a 10x15 yard box. Play 2v2. If the ball is scored, the scoring team stays in and a new team of 2 comes in. If the ball goes out of the boundaries, coach yells "Get Out" and 2 new teams of 2 come in. Coach will serve in new balls. Play for 5 minutes and rest. Play for 3 rounds. Keep score of goals.

Endzones - 3v3
Organization:
Set up 20 x 30 yard box. If a team dribbles the ball into the endzone, they will go back and retrieve the ball from the defending endzone. The first team to get all 3 soccer balls into their attacking endzone wins. Play for 4 minutes, switch opponents or teammates.

Knockout
Organization:
Start with a 20x20 box. Each player has a ball. The goal is to knock the opponents ball out of the boundaries while controling their own ball. As players are knocked out, the boundaries will decrease. Play multiple games.

Organization:
4 flat cones are placed 10-15 yards apart in a diagonal formation. Each player has a ball. Coach calls out direction and ability (right/left messi touches, scissors, stepovers, pull backs, bells, toe taps, etc.) Progress to coaches tossing tennis balls to players as they do stationary ability. Call out dynamic stretch in throughout activity. Players must stop the ball at next cone to demonstrate control.
