Warm up

The pass goes through the box, from position 1 to position 2.

Position 2 is 5 yards away from the box, position 1 is 15 yards away from the box (modify this depending on how it is working)

The receiving player (2) must take a good first touch and drive to the box, getting out of one of the sides, before playing a pass back into position 1. Then the drill repeats.

To start with position 1 just needs to get to the box first to win, then progress it so that they can tackle the player in the box. Move position 1 closer to the box to increase the level.

Small sided game

Straight forward game, but to score all your players must be in the attacking half. (encourages defenders to squeeze up).
