Organisation:
10x15m grid divided into two 5m channels. This should be created in the middle zone of the skill training element of the session.
SSGs placed in the central areas with flat discs around 5m into the wider areas. Teams are divided into attackers (blue) & defenders (red). Coaches (yellow) act as ball feeders.
Explanation:
Coach feeds the ball into blue attacker who can score 1 point by driving beyond the flat discs in the wide area, or 3 points for scoring in the goal from anywhere on the field.
Reds must win the ball and return the ball to the coach. If they do so 1 point is taken from the attackers score.
Each player gets 3 repetitions before the teams swap. Keep score.
Progressions:
Create 2v2 situations on the field with the same objective.

3 sets of poles set up as goals
Explanation:
Coach feeds in Player 1
Player 1 drives and tries to finish against all 3 defenders
Once goal is scored/ball out of play, Coach feeds to Player 2 and it becomes a 2v3
Once goal is scored/ball out of play, Coach feeds to Player 3 and it becomes a 3v3

31x45m area divided into 3 channels as shown. Wide channels have small 10m scoring zones at either end.
Teams play 5v5 + GKs attempting to score in the oppositions goal.
Explanation:
Teams play 5v5 + GK game. Only 1 defender and 1 attacker allowed in the wide zone at any time. Players can score the following points:
1 point for dribbling into the end zone
3 points for a goal
5 points for driving into and then assisting from wide scoring zones
Progressions:
Too Hard:
1. Allow 2v1s in the wide area.
Too Easy:
2. Allow open play with no zone restrictions & the same scoring system as above.
