Organization: Large field cut up in 4's (2 attacking areas and two midfield areas)
Instructions:
*Players must stay in their areas, must move and communicate accuratley to be able to 1 keep the ball and 2 work it to goal.
* Team with the fewest passes to score wins after 5 minutes.
Coaching Points:
* Movement to create space either for yourself or for a passing lane to someone else
* Can we disguise our intentions
* Correct body shape, knowing where your teammates are here will help.
* Strength to hold onto it
* Movement....too soon? too late? NEITHER.
Progressions:
If players struggle, allow one person from that team be able to enter into another grid (numbers up)

Organization:
Grid seperated into three sections (Defensive thrid, Midfield third, Attacking third)
Instructions:
- Players play 5 v 5
- If you pass into the next channel you can go forward to help players in that next chennel.
- 2 minute rounds before rotation of players
Coaching Points:
- Recognizing space to run into to support
- Visual cues from teammates if you do need to go forward to support or need to stay back as an option to simply keep it.
- Strength on the ball with pressure.
- Good first touch? Go forward.
- Bad first touch? Get control and play it simple.
- Passing to proper foot of teammate to do something productive

Gates of Champions Warmup (15 mins)
Organization:
Two 2 yard gates in center of two grids, with a blue cone 7 yards away from the gate on each side. Split players in half with half at each gird (A and B). One soccer ball per group.
Instructions:
Players attempt to pass through the gate for a point. The coach changes how the pass must be played. First team to get winning number of passes in a row is winner of that round.
Coaching Points:
* Qaulity of first touch to set up pass
* Quality of pass though gate
* Technical points of passing and reciving the ball
* How to have good techique under pressure (of the game)
* Correct weight/good pass for teammate to pass first time
Progressions:
1) Two touch through gate (either foot)
2) Two touch though the gate (must use both feet in order right, left, right, left, etc)
3) One touch strong foot only (move cones into 6 yrds out)
4) One touch weak foot only (move cones into 6 yrds out)
5) Add another ball to each group
