Set up : Play 8v6 defending one of the 9v9 goals.
Drill: Ball is played to the offensive team each time. Working on keeping defensive shape and posture, the defense tries to steal the ball back, and progress to one of the small goals.
Focus: Defensive shape, pressure/cover, shifting side to side.

Set up: Make two fields, with a mini goal at the end of each field. Include a cone line a little ways out from the goal. Two lines opposite of the goals.
Drill: Players play 1v1 against each other. The attacker has to cross the cone line in order to score. Once play is finished, the attacker quickly rotates and becomes the defender for the next player in line. Defender retrieves the ball, and returns to the back of the line.
Focus: Good defensive posture, closing quickly, transitioning to defense, not diving in
