Learning Objectives
Possession game that can be used to coach a variety of topics:
Two teams of 6 play in each half. If reds have possession 2 blues can go in and try to win the ball back. If blues win the ball they have to transfer it into their half of the pitch and go and support. 2 red defenders can then go in and try to win the ball.
Coaching Points:
Receiving skills
Passing skills - type variation, weight, disguise, speed of pass.
Support play - movement off the ball to support ball carrier

Objectives:
To develop good habits by,
1- Receiving the ball on angles.
2- Receiving the ball on the half turn.
3- Receiving the ball with back foot.
This improves awareness and creating space as an individual.
Coaching Points:
1- All players must go to meet the ball when receiving a pass.
2- It is important that players receive the ball at an angle and with back foot (the foot furthest away from the ball) this would put players automatically on the half turn so they can see all players involved.
3- Creat space by checking (move away from the ball then return to meet it).
The benefit from this will develop a player efficiency, mobility and awareness with or without the ball.
Progression:
Change direction of the drill from anti-clockwise to clockwise.
A simple command to the players of "change" will achive this.

Learning Objectives
Mastery of the ball is the very heart of the game. The skill to make the ball do what we want it to do, to be able to place it exactly where you want it to go, to be comfortable with it in our possession, these are the foundations of the game and the basic building blocks for future successful players.
Players work in 2s, dribbling the ball towards the middle line, making as many touches as possible on the ball.
When they meet each other in the middle, they perform a turn and go back from where they have started, so they can start again.
- To improve mastery of feints.
- Timing of feint.
- Body shape/desguise.
- Over ball for balance, low/quick step to side.
- Part of foot used - inside/outside/sole.
- Perform turns, such as Inside & outside, drag back, Cruyff, Maradona`s Turn, etc...
