Organisation:
- Each player with a ball
- 3 players per side of grid
Instructions:
- Each side of the area is called a player name
- One side Messi (outside-inside), one side Pogba (toe-taps), one side Bale (rollovers), one side Ronaldo (creative - anything you like)
- Players move with their ball doing their particular skill (e.g. Messi) to the opposite side and back to the side they started on. Players all go at once
- 2/3mins then rotate sides, moving the players around clockwise
Progressions:
- Add a turn for players to do when they get to the other side (e.g. Messi - outside-inside and outside cut, Pogba - toe-taps and stepover turn, Bale - rollovers and cruyff turn)
- Introduce more advanced ball manipulations i.e. roll-stops, outside-inside both feet, backwards toe-taps, drag-push etc.
Coaching Points:
- Head up
- Look out for other players around you
- Focus on doing the skills correctly (quickly and accurately, but under control)
- Light on feet
- Low body when turning

Organisation:
- x2 15m x 15m grids
- 2 teams in each grid
Instructions:
- One team with a ball each play as disruptors (interfere, close ball down and get in way of passing options)
- One team have to pass the ball between them in the grid, working together moving the ball around and keeping possession
- Rotate roles
- How many consecutive passes can you make as a team?
Coaching Points:
- High tempo of play
- Movement off the ball to recieve
- Angles to recieve (get open)
- Head up and scan around before ball comes to you
Progressions:
- 2/3 touches at all time if possible
- 4v2, no disruptors. 1 ball.
- 3v3 at the end for a short time.

Warm Up (Speed Catcher):
- One/two catchers must touch/tag as many players as possible within a specific time period (1/2mins) and within the marked playing field.
- Players who have been touched continue to play.
- See how many players you can tag
- Coach creates a ranking list on paper.
- Progress to 'speed tackler' (1point for a tackle and clearing the ball away).
Coaching Points:
- Look for space to move into
- Dodge out the way of taggers
- Catchers need to sprint at times to tag a player
