Organization:
- 20x10 grid
- Objective of drill is teach angles to the defender during a 1v1 scenario.
- Player A starts off the drill by passing the ball to player B. Player must go at the defender and then look to go around him to score on the empty goal. No GK required.
- Player A and B will change sides so that they each take a turn at being attacker & defender.
Progression:
- 2v1 and 3v2s
Coaching Points:
- One ball is played - Defender must close down attacker
- Angle attacker away goal
- Arc your run to force attacker wide

Organization:
4v4 on 20x30yd space.
Add pug goals at either end for progression
Instructions:
4v4 directional. To score the attacking team must dribble over opposition defensive line.
When not in possession furthest player back drops out to create 4v3 in favour of attacking team.
Coaching Points:
Pressure on the ball
Angles of support, balance, and depth
Recognise moment to try and win the ball and press as a unit
Transition in attack when ball is won
Progressions:
Add scoring by playing to pug goals

Defending warm up (20 mins)
Organization:
3 evenly matched teams.
30x30 area for 3v3v3, extend area if more numbers
Instructions:
Black & Red play as a team vs Blue defenders.
If Blue win the ball, the team who was dispossesed become the defending team
Coaching Points:
Work as a unit to pressure
Try to limit space between
React quickly to ball movement
Recognise moment to close down as a team
Progressions:
If limited success from defensive team, limit attacking team touches to 2 or 1.
Add passing target (10) to increase defensive intensity
