2v2 and 3v3 Attacking -- The Major Outcome for this session is to get the players used to making efficient and quick decisions to get the ball forward within the bounds of their technical proficiency. Emphasize the technical aspects of their game that will best help them to attack as a small unit.

Coaching Points:
1) First Touch Away from Pressure;
2) Passing Technique;
3) Body shape and Ready Stance;
4) Shielding and support off-ball;
5) Off-Ball Movement.

Grid Size -- 10 yds Wide by 18 yds Deep
2v1+Recovering Defender. Red plays ball out to 2 Blue Attackers who are seeking to score on the PUGG. At the moment the ball is played by the red defender near the PUGG, a second Red defender behind the Blue Attackers must run to the cone to their left and then go touch the cone to their right before coming into the grid to defend from the back. Switch who is attacking every 4 minutes. Do 2 Rounds with 1 minute rest between.
Coaching Points:
1) First Touch;
2) Quick Decisions;
3) Pay Attention to location of defender in determining whether to attack on the dribble, play teammate, or use the wall-pass.
4) body shape and off-ball movement -- Creativity (use overlap or call for wall-pass)

Grid Size -- Use the width of the 18 yd Box on 9v9 Field and add depth.
Do a simple 3v2+GK leading to a 3v3+GK. Defending team plays ball to the attacking team and play commences. New 3v2 (or 3v3 once progressed) group is in when one of 3 things happens: 1) GK gains possession of the ball; 2) Ball goes out; 3) Goal is scored. Give each team 10 mins total as the attacking team (5 min at 3v2 and 5 min at 3v3). Defending team can score on counter CONE goals.
Coaching Points:
1) First Touch;
2) Quick Decisions;
3) Pay Attention to location of defender in determining whether to attack on the dribble, play teammate, or use a Combination;
4) body shape and off-ball movement -- Creativity of movement off-ball;
5) A bit on shot selection maybe.

Warm-Up #1 (10 mins)
Grid Size -- Each Half is 10 x 10; Time -- 10 MINS
3v1(or close based upon numbers) OVER-THE RIVER. There are 3 reds and 3 Blues. In one side, the game starts as a 3v1 possession activity (say 3 Blues vs 1 Red). Once the "1" red wins the ball, they must seek to play the ball to their teams side. If successful, then the play moves to the other side and the blue team sends a defender into that side. It is now 3 Reds vs 1 Blue. The play continues like this. Any time a ball is played out, the team that didn't play it out gets to play it in with "first-pass-free". With a team of 12 players, you will need to have 2 grids going at once. If you have 10 kids, you could do two teams of 5 with a 5v2 in each square (making grid bigger of course then).
Coaching Points:
1) First Touch Away from Pressure;
2) Passing Technique;
3) Body shape and Ready Stance;
4) Shielding and support off-ball;
5) Off-Ball Movement.
