To encourage players to drive into space and at the opposition in attacking areas

Running with the ball (beating a defender) -
Players line up in 2 teams. First player to go will be unopposed. They run with ball towards either of the mini goals and scores. As soon as the ball hits the net the next player on the other team comes into play and runs at pace towards either goal. The player who went first is a defender. Play continues with each player becoming a defender as soon as he has scored (or lost the ball).
Very intensive so take breaks to collect footballs and re-emphasise key points.
Key Points -
As per technical but encourage head up and looking to anticipate defenders movement. If they are moving at pace towards the left goal can the players touch push him to the right so the defenders momentum makes it hard to turn back.

Game -
Split pitch into thirds using cones or disc markers
Normal game conditions to start, encourage all players to run with the ball at pace when any opportunity arises
Conditions (if required) -
If a player can run into the next zone they cant be tackled for 3 seconds
If a player can run straight through the middle zone they score a goal
Key Points -
As with technical and skill - burst of pace, minimal touches, head up looking for space, anticipate defenders movements

Running with the ball -
10-12 players, 40x30 (or 3G pitch)
Players run toward opposite team-mate before laying ball off and joining the back of the line. Use the disc markers as guide as to when to play the ball off to team-mate.
Progression -
Instead of joining the back of the line the player who has just passed the ball touches the cone then chases the next player back (adding pressure)
Key Points -
Good first touch out of feet, burst of pace, minimal touches, use of outside of foot
