Pass & Move to a Finish over bigger distances (20 mins)
Practice Objectives:
To develop players aerobic capacity (increased distance and high speed metres) during a functional passing/movement/finishing exercise.
Practice Explanation:
Players start on one of 4 stations (A, B, C, D)
Players complete various passing patterns, always concluding with a shot at goal (corners)
After completing technical action, players are asked to sprint to next station which will always be the same order (A-B, B-C, C-D, D-A) regardless of where they find themselve on the pitch.
Only start next ball when everyone is waiting at their new station.
Aim is for quality intense actions!
Patten 1: A - B - C - D - Finish. Note - D can be on the move (realistic) before receiving in behind
Patten 2: A - B - D - C - Finish
Patten 3: A - C- A- B- C- B- D - Finish Note - D can be on the move (realistic) before receiving in behind
Patten 4: A - C - D - B - Finsih
Once completed these 4 pattens, change side and repeat
Reminders - Match realism, ball speed, sharp movement to receive, timing of runs, verbal/non verbal communication, pass quality.
