Keeping the ball to drag the opposition out of a structured set up in order to exploit either quick passing to play through or overload on opposition weak side
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
If opposition steal the ball while passing is going on then they can choose to score in one of the mini goals for 2 points or put 3 passes together to score 1 point,
Yellow team must try and win the ball back as quickly as they can and start passing again while regaining shape.
Each practice is 90 seconds long then swap players around
Practice can last between 10-15 mins and used like a rondo or lead in session for a more technical detailed session.

Organisation: Two teams are set up inside 3/4 of half a pitch stretching from the edge of the 18 yard box up to the half way line and full width of the pitch. Two channels are marked out between 18 yard line and 6 yard box long lines and stretched the full width of the half to create the channel or half space on both sides of the 18 yard box.
4 mini goals or gates are marked out on each side of the pitch and the main goal is in play for the final phase.
Two teams 9 v 6 + 1 GK
Team of 9 start and look to keep possession of the ball and make required number of passes ( ability dependant ) . Half spaces and wide areas must be occupied at all times during build up play by at least one player and no more than two to try and keep a team shape and balance.
Once the alloted amount of passes have been made then the ball may be transfered with a pass through either the wide or half space lanes. ( no carrying the ball over the 18 yard line). For a player to run onto so as not to be caugh offside whilst the remainder of the team make movements into the box to recieve the ball and score. Once the play is in the 18 yard box the team has 6 seconds to score or the ball must come back out and start again with alloted passes.
If the oppossition team get the ball during the practice then they can either make 3 passes and get a point or score direct into any one of the small goals to score 2 points. GK is included in all of the practice an can score also.
Opposition if losing the ball must press hard to get the ball back.
Key coaching points:
-Emphasis on keeping team structure to cover all the grids and minumul players in wide and half space zones to look for overloads and free space
-Central zone can be restricted to 2 touch due to compactness and amount of players that may be in that zone
-Look for body shape of players to recieve in space and to play and keep the ball moving for the alloted passes.
-Width, depth, length as much as possible to move the ball quickly to move opposition.
