Organisation
- Set up a rectangular or square pitch - make the size appropriate for the age-group and game outcome (big pitch is easier).
- Use cones to create four corners and have one player in each one.
- Two equal teams compete for possession, with the team in possession looking to play the ball into one of the four corners (1 point).
- Corner players play out to the same team that passed in to them.
Progressions
1. Once the corner players have played out, they must switch boxes with another corner player.
2. Corner players must switch with a different corner player each time they play out.
3. Allocate three different skills (e.g. first time pass) to a different colour bib. Ask the players on one of the teams to wear three bibs each - one on top of the other (each player can choose the order). Skills must be completed one at a time by each player, depending on the colour of the bib on top. On completion of a skill, players remove the relevant bib and place it on the outside of the pitch. Have a second game for the other team. The team with the most bibs removed wins.
Coaching Points
1. The team in possession must be aware of corner players switching so that they don't play the ball to an unoccupied corner.

Cones Warm Up (10 mins)
Organisation
- Place one cone for each player in a small area in a random pattern.
- Get each player to stand by a cone.
- Ask the players to see how many cones they can visit.
Progressions
1. Alternative running forwards and backwards when visiting cones.
2. Allow running sideways to forwards and backwards.
3. Touch cones with knee touches.
4. Tap each cone once with each foot.
5. Stepover to each side at each cone.
6. Add a ball(s) to throw/kick/bounce whilst visiting cones.
