Objectives


- Improve Catching

- Why is Catching important in Cricket


Material Needed


- Cones

- Tennis Balls


Set Up


- Area should be big enough to fit all the students, whilst being small enough that make students having to dodge eachother


- Students should be always moving


Progressions


- Teacher will start introducing some cricket balls, and students will have to catch and pass to someone else as fast as they can


- Keep introducing balls until there is one ball p/pair

Catching Cricket

Set Up


- 2 teams of 6 , area will be 25x20m


- Only underarm throw


- Teams need to keep throwing the ball to the other side, will win a point if the other team isn't able to catch the ball

- Allow overarm throw


- Adding a second ball


- After every round allow time for team to discuss best strategy
