Combination Play (20 mins)
Set-up:
-18x18 yard grid with 2/3 players on each cone and 2 wall players in the middle
-Corner player passes to wall passer who combines with the other wall passer. The 2nd wall passer lays the ball off for the perimeter player to run on to and pass into the next corner first time
-Perimeter player follows pass to opposite corner
-Remember three short passes and then a longer pass
-Demanding on middle players so change after 45s/1min
Coaching points:
-Short, crisp passing with a long accurate pass to complete the combination
-Remember to switch middle players after each corner who need to get into a suitable position to recieve
-Quick combinations so communication is vital
-Middle players need to find balance with distance; don't go too near but don't go too far

high to low to through ball

Learning Objectives
3 teams of 2 players with 1 neutral.
2 teams play inside area with one team used as target players.
2 middle teams combine and keep possession for as long as possible using outside men and neutral player as overload. Outside player objective to find the spare player.
Same as before but end players only on one touch they can now pass to opposite end player as an extra support player.

Technical Warm Up (15 mins)
Depending on the age you can add restrictions to the warm up by adding more touches and movement off the ball as shown. You could also add another ball to the other side and have have 2 balls moving at one time.
Player A will pass to Player B who will one touch to A who will touch back to B who will give a pass back to A on making a bending run to the outside who will give to C and start the rotation going the other way.
Focus on Technique of First Touch and playing away to set up for next pass
Can they play a good weighted pass using both left and right foot
Accuracy of Pass
Good first touch
Can the communicate both visual and verbal cues
Speed of Play on one touch and two touch if necessary
