Build out passing pattern:
Set players up in these arranged positions and make sure to have a goal behind the starting position. One passing pattern is provided above, but you can change the pattern around to give different variations to the player.
Coaching Points:
relate each player in passing pattern to a position on the field
timing of movements
proper passing technique
defender's should step in when they have space in front of them

2 defenders beat the striker pressing (solve the 2v1)
step in when space is in front of you
center mid starts in the blind spot of opposing center mid and moves side to side to find passing lanes
wingers move up and down the sideline to create passing angles

7v7 Open Play
Make coaching points and stop play when needed. Points of emphasis:
-what to do on goalkicks (how to build out)
-encourage players to beat defenders 1v1
-encourage players to get their head up when on the ball
-remind players to play their positions and stay spread out when in possession

1st Touch 1v1
Instructions: Defender passes ball to attacker
1) First touch to a different cone color. Defenders can't challenge attacker
2) Move passer to different angle
3) Use 1v1 move to beat player to step in. Defenders can't challenge attacker
(Faint / hesitate push outside foot) lunge, WB-Fake shot cut, Fake pass drag, Swerve
4) Live play. Can go through any color cone gate to score 1 goal (last progression)

Timing / distance receiving ball from defender
