- In the example black looks to get the ball across to anyone on the blue side
- Once the ball is into the blue's the team that passed or dribbled across would then the defensive team would come off and blues would take their place (red would switch with blue)
- Blue team would immediately look to counter to the yellow side quickly

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Set Up:
- As shown (2 goals, 2 goalies)
- 2 teams (7v7), adding neutrals if needed
Objectives
- Tactics are different for the 2 teams (one keeps possession, the other looks to win the ball and score)
- If the defending side wins the ball, they can score on either of the 2 goals
- Change the tactics so that both teams are forced to defend
Regression: Go numbers up for the team in possession
Progression 1: Team in possession can score after connecting on a specfic number of passes
Progression 2: Remove conditions and play a standard 7v7 or 8v8 game
Coaching Points:
- Defenders looking for triggers on when to press and when to drop off
- Passing quality, player movement off the ball (runs to receive and deceive)
- Communication

2 teams vs 1 Warm Up
Set Up:
- 3 teams of 5v5 or 3 teams of 6v6 depending on the numbers
- Play in 1 half of the field space or smaller/tighter space to make things more difficult
Objective:
- Two teams keep possession away from the third team (in this example Black and Blue vs Red)
- If the defending team wins the ball, they transition into an attacking team and the team that lost the ball becomes the defending side (i.e. red wins the ball from Blue then it will be Red and Black vs Blue as new defenders)
- Goal is to string together as many passes as you can, avoid becoming the defending team in the middle
Coaching Points:
- Player movement off the ball (runs to receive and runs to deceive)
- Communication
- Body shapes and first touch / decision making
- Speed of play (quick decisions and being alert in transitional moments)
- Identifying defensive pressure and knowing when and where to dribble or pass
