2 set ups; ~20x15 (GKs included)
-ball starts on one side, they circulate ball until they can get it across to other side with a pass below the knees
-blues achieve a point if red kicks ball out of bounds when trying to penetrate, or if they kick ball too high when trying to penetrate, or if blues intercept a penetrating pass
-to start, reds must take a minimum of 3 touches on ball
-blues stay in until they achieve ~5 points
Progress: (1)reds no longer have to take 3 touches (2) one red from opposite side can pop into the middle to help link across
Keys: angle of approach and initial pressure; support and balance in behind
Coaching points: first pressure must be fast; players must communicate to remain organized; players must ensure their teammates are in position before "leaving"; do not get caught flat
