Angle to receive- Ensure players receive pass at an angle and when possible with an open body position.
Twitch- Making sure players look over their shoulder before receiving a pass so they have a picture of where everything is and what type of control to use.
Keep the ball close- Get body in the way to protect the ball or if player has space make sure their controldoesn't give the defender a chance to get the ball.

Organisation
Same set up as previous drill
6 to 8 to each grid in pairs
1 ball per pair
One player on the outside cone and one on the inside cone.
Session Explanation
Players on the outside play the ball to their partner on the inside. They must make an angle off the cone and then receive the pass. Players must look over their shoulder before recving the pass. After 90 secs they swap with partner.
Progression
Players must receive the ball on the back foot and then dribble through the grid and pass the ball to a free player on the outside.
Players on the outside can move anywhere around thr outside.
Introduce a defender in the middle to apply passive pressure. Should players receive with a closed body position or open?

Organisation
Area size 30m x 20m
Two teams of 3 to 4- Start by the side of the goal.
Middle Area 20m x 10m
Coach at the top with multiple balls.
Session Explanation
Attacking player (reds) receive ball from the coach in the middle zone with defender behind them. They have to try to turn and get out of the zone to score.
Only when red player enters the zone can blue player start to press.
Swap roles after 3 minutes
Progression
Can use the coach once to play a bounce pass after you've received and controlled first pass.
2 v 2. First player receives the ball in the middle zone. The second player receives the ball in the attacking zone. Still 1 v 1 in attacking zone.
Middle zone player can follow pass creating a 2 v 1in end zone.

1 player from each team in each zone
Two goals- No G.K's
Session Explanation
Players must try to work their way through the zones to score. All players must stay in their zone to begin
Players can only pass the ball into the closest zone to begin with.
Can play backwards.
Progressions
Can't pass backwards in to a zone.
Players can follow their pass into the next zone creating a 2 v 1 situation.
The defensive zone player can play a pass into the attacking third.Up to the middle zone player to support.

Jog to the cone and back. Then dynamic stretches to cone and back.
Dribble around cone and back, then next person goes.

Pass back to player and sprint to next group in a clockwise direction
Give and go (3 passes) and then sprint in clockwise direction to next group.
Progress to passing and moving around the gird.
