Main session

Key Factors

Playing out from the back (Unopposed)

Aim: Passing patterns to give ideas to GK and defense on recognising if we can play out.

Key points: Dont start where you want to finish.

-Speed of movement- fast to get away from attackers. Start narrow until ball is placed from GK.

-Speed of play- to not invite too much pressure in our defensive 3rd.

-Body positioning-back foot 1,2 touch

Organisation

Working with back 3 (9 aside) and midfielder. Ball starts from GK, once ball is placed, communicate to split. CB determines which way to go, Ball side FB goes high and wide. Opposite FB tucks in slightly.Once pattern complete they pass to the attackers who then counter on defenders (work on compactness in transition). 4vs 4. Ball goes wide or out then reset play from GK who starts the pattern again.

1st pattern. GK-CB-FB-MID-ATTACKERS

2nd pattern GK-MID (DROPS IN ONCE SPLIT)-CB-FB-ATTACKERS
