Dribbling Square (5 mins)

Dribbling (5 mins) 

Set Up/Rules

- Blue room space

- Each player has a ball at their feet

- Player runs into anyone or anything: 10 toe taps

-Last player(s) to complete the commands: 10 toe taps 

Commands:

Find something blue, red, green, yellow etc. 

Groups of 2, 3, 4, 5 etc. 

Ball over your head, pairs of two (jump on your partners back)

 Actions:

-  Let the players dribble around in open space. Encourage players to do moves that they know.  

Passing Diamond 2 (5 mins)

Passing Diamond 1:

Set Up/Rules

- 2-3 ppl at A, all balls start at A

-2 balls going at once 

-Progression: 3 balls? (only if 3 at A)

Actions: 

Passing: A-B-C-D-A, 2 Soccer balls going at once 

1-2 minutes oneach direction. 

Coaching points:

-Scanning: Take a look for the next player

-Communication:  Talk! Demand the ball at your feet, yes, ball, names. 

-Body Shape: Open your hips to be able to see the entire picture

-Direction of touch: Towards the next pass

-Pace of Pass: speed

-Accuracy of Pass: make it easy for your teammate by hitting the correct foot 

Passing Diamond 4 (5 mins)

Passing Diamond 4:

Set Up/Rules

- 2-3 ppl at A, all balls start at A

-2 balls going at once 

-Progression: 3 balls? (only if 3 at A)

Actions: 

Passing: A-B-A-C-B-C-D-C-A-D-A, 2 Soccer balls going at once 

1-2 minutes on each direction.
